SOUTH-SIDE OF CHICAGO!!!!
A man was shot by police in Chatham neighborhood.
It happened about 1 a.m. Saturday, in the 8600 block of South Rhodes Avenue.
Police say they tried to stop the man, because they smelled marijuana, but he took off running down an alley.
When the officers caught up to him, the man pulled out a gun. When he refused to put it down, the officers shot him.
The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The shooting remains under investigation.
